Who should not take Albenza? Before taking Albenza tell your doctor about any other medical conditions that you have especially liver disease. You may require a lower dose or special monitoring during therapy if you have liver problems. Albenza is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will harm an unborn baby. Do not take Albenza without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant.
